Getting Started

On your first visit, we will talk about your goals and, if appropriate, your personal history in addition to completing some paperwork. You can schedule an appointment and complete most of your paperwork online by clicking the link below.

Additionally, if you would like to allow Dr. Brewer to contact a previous treatment provider or other person regarding your treatment, please download and complete this form:

What Happens on Your First Visit
When you arrive for your appointment, feel free to make yourself comfortable on the porch. When it is time for your session to begin, you will be welcomed in the porch sitting area and invited into the office. There, you will find a big comfortable couch with colorful pillows that will have a place to rest your head and lots of room to stretch out your legs. It is your option whether to lay down or sit on the couch - whichever is more comfortable for you.

During the session, we will review what brings you to counseling and your goals. If necessary and appropriate, you will be asked for some personal history just to get an idea of who you are and what you’ve been through. At any point, you are welcome to provide feedback on this process and share only as much as you feel comfortable to share. At the end of the first session, we will talk about how to proceed and whether counseling is a good fit for you.

My current fees can be found on the Services page. I also maintain a limited number of sliding scale fee appointment times based on household income.

I am Out-of-Network on PPO plans and will be happy to assist with filling out any necessary paperwork.

HMOs are not accepted. Please contact your insurance company for an appropriate provider.
